Be yourself and share your knowledge and experience with student teams a few times over the academic year. A mentor is expected to spend about 5-10 hours on their tasks during the school term (October – June).
All that is needed is enthusiasm, life experience and willingness to assist the students’ learning and entrepreneurship. Mentors can expect to meet with their teams approximately five times between autumn 2019 and summer 2020, but you can meet more or less often, in person or online as works for you.
A mentor gives feedback on the students’ ideas, suggests improvements, gives advices for development and motivates students to take action.
Mentors also contribute to the thematic connection to the raw materials/food/climate sector, offer further opportunities to students, and support educators by sharing knowledge, skills and experience from the business world. Volunteers will be trained and prepared for each activity.
